For the first time in Florida Atlantic University history, members of the FAU Trumpet studio (from left to right), Dan Meire 19’ MM performance, Shane Falco 22’ Music Education, Isai Hernandez 19’ BM Performance, Petar Pejic 22’ Music Education, Anthony Young 21’ Music Education, Erik Orue 21’ Music Education, and Dr. Jones (center), will be heading to Lexington, Kentucky to compete in the 2019 National Trumpet Competition on March 14-16 at the University of Kentucky.

Under the direction of Dr. Jones, members of studio placed in the top 5% throughout the country as a small ensemble semi-finalist (6 to 8 members), which is a first for the Music Department and for the Trumpet Studio.
